How does 544 lock operate
Answer: Hi Dennis, The Thule 544 lock set is very easy to use. Firstly you will need to place the key labeled D1251 into a lock core and proceed to slide the lock core into the Thule carrier lock housing (following the appropriate grooves or markings) Then, while holding with your thumb on the head of the lock cylinder, pull out that D1251 key and insert the regular key coded to that lock to either lock or unlock it. Does this lock work on a thule 450 ?
Answer: Hi! All Thule One Key lock bundles will work on current Thule carriers. The 544 here includes 4 locks and the keys needed, which would go into each 450 foot needed to secure 2 Thule crossbars on to your vehicles roof. If you have additional bike carriers on top of this system, you may want to get a large Thule lock set. Thanks! -

Answer: The Thule 512 Lock Cylinder will work on the "Insta-Gator" but, not on the Tail-Gator. -

Do these fit Thule Aero 400 Feet? These models pre-date the 400xt Feet.
Answer: Im not sure but you can do what I did, I call thules and asked customer service all questions I had and It really helped me out big times.they will ask for year and make of vehicle and they will give you the right part number to perfectly fit your vehicle. Hope this helps !! It did for me. Thules customer service number is 1 (800) 238-2388. -
