  • Question: Should white wire be grounded to trailer frame if one is not available from wiring harness at rear of trailer on either the driver or passenger sides?

    Answer: Yes, this is usually an acceptable way to ground the light, provided your trailer has a frame ground, which you will usually find on the tongue near the coupler. Just be sure to watch out for corrosion on frame grounds in the future as they can be sources of failure on marine trailers.
