    Answer: According to the ZOOM H4N documentation it connects directly to a USB port, so you may not need the UAC-2.
  • Question: If you use the line inputs, does it truly bypass the mic preamps such that the gain control does nothing, or does it just pad the mic preamp?

    Answer: Using the line inputs pads the preamps, but still sends the signal through them.
  • Question: Does you need a specific software for this to work

    Answer: You would not need a specific software to use the UAC-2, the device is compatible with a variety of Digital Audio Workstations.
