The 8 oz can be applied directly to flowering dogwood trunks, but it's recommended to put tape or paper around the tree on citrus trees to stop them from reaching the fruit, and re-apply once full. It can also be used on baby avocado trees. Applying too much can cause birds to get it stuck on their wings. Though it does not stop ants from reaching honeybee hives. The product is priced at $6.99 and should cover one 5 gallon bucket inside and outside.
