    Answer: The active ingredient in PepperBall Live SD is PAVA, a pepper powder which is approximately 2%.
  • Question: Are there any age restrictions for purchasing and using PepperBall projectiles?

    Answer: Purchase and use of PepperBall projectiles is limited to individuals who are at least 18 years old.
  • Question: Are there any limitations on purchase, possession, and use of PepperBall projectiles?

    Answer: There may be state or local limitations on purchase, possession, and use of PepperBall projectiles.
  • Question: What velocity is required to burst ball?

    Answer: Anything over 300 FPS will break the SD round upon impact. The Live SD rounds are adequate and will break upon impact at 300 FPS muzzle velocity. Variables include distance from assailant and the lower FPS disperses a smaller Pava dust radius.
  • Question: Will these work with a Empire Axe 2.0 marker with a Spire 3 hopper set up?

    Answer: No idea. It is designed for Pepperball TCP which is specifically designed for these rounds. The sweet spot on my TCP is 430 FPS. A Minimum of 300 FPS Chrony muzzle velocity is necessary to guarentee Round breakage and adequate dust radius dispersal. Note: the Pepperball TCP has a rifled barrel which increases straight line accuracy up to 150 feet.
  • Question: Can you use these in 43 caliber pistol?

    Answer: No, these are .68 caliber.
  • Question: Will they melt in a hot car? if it in the 95

    Answer: No, it would need to be hotter than that to melt.
  • Question: When does the CO2 cartridge get pierced for operation, will it leak Down before needing it in an emergency?

    Answer: Yes, it will. You are best to load the magazine with the pepperballs and a new CO2 cartridge but do not twist it in to pierce it until you need it.
  • Question: Is this .43 caliber?

    Answer: No, it is .68. However, they do make shaped projectiles.
  • Question: Do these breakdown over time - is there an expiration date?

    Answer: Good for at least 2 years.
  • Question: Are this compatible with the walter ppq paintball gun?

    Answer: No. The Walter PPQ paintball gun both versions 1 and 2 shoot a .45 regular or first strike round. This is a .68 round which is much too large.
  • Question: It shows these are not allowed to be shipped to my address in Minnesota, why?

    Answer: Gun and ammo laws for your state. In California you can’t order any ammo online and that includes those self defense pepper rounds.
