Carrion - Nintendo Switch

** Carrion - Nintendo Switch** Carrion offers a daring twist on the traditional Metroidvania genre, allowing players to step into the role of a terrifying creature rather than a typical hero. Drawing heavy inspiration from classic horror films such as John Carpenter's "The Thing," this game invites you to embrace your monstrous nature. As you navigate through various environments, players can Consume enemies to absorb their DNA and unlock new abilities, presenting a unique gameplay loop that intertwines exploration, power progression, and horror. Although Carrion excels in creativity and atmosphere, it isn't without its drawbacks. The controls can become cumbersome, particularly when the player grows to their maximum size, making navigation tricky and leading to frustration during combat sequences. Additionally, players have noted that the pacing tends to slow down towards the end, where completing collectables can feel more like a grind than an adventure, especially as the game shifts toward heavier combat scenarios. Overall, Carrion is a refreshing experience that showcases innovative ideas and engaging mechanics. While it may not maintain a Consistently high level of excitement throughout its entirety, the enjoyment derived from its uniqueness makes it a worthwhile title to explore. **
