Will these (size 8) fit Riedell R3 skate size 12?
Answer: Yes, a size 8 Super X plate is recommended for a Men's size 12 boot. -
Question:
Are these removable? I want to put them on my Doc Martens but still wear them as regular boots.
Answer: Definitely not. Mounting boots (skate boots, actual boots, tennis shoes, whatever) requires drilling holes into the boot (or shoe). You can remove them, but then you'd be left with holes in your Doc's. Obviously that would not be good on rainy/snowy days. If you truly want to skate your Doc's, the only option is to get another pair and keep one as normal shoes and set the other up for skating. -
Question:
Will it fit on Chicago skate to replace plastic frame with these metal ones?
Answer: No, they don't fit. But I had to drill holes in my Chicago skates just so they can fit, so you gotta make it work. -

What plate size fits a size 9 shoe?
Answer: A standard adult men's size 9 roller skate boot typically takes a size 6 Super X plates. Some boot brands may differ in size, i.e., European brands. -

I have an old pair of these on an old pair of Reidell skates. Are the newer ones lighter in weight than the older ones? My pair of skates weigh 12 lb.
Answer: Super X plates are the same weight as made several decades ago.
