Do these bars contain sugar?
Answer: Each bar contains only 1g of sugar and is sweetened with stevia, making it a great sugar-free snack option. -

Are these a soft bar?
Answer: This is a chewy bar not a soft bar. I do not eat these too often anymore because they contain sucralose ( Splenda ) which does not agree with many people. Some of their bars have Stevia but also have Carrageenan and Palm Kernel Oil in them, not the best choices for me. I now enjoy NuGo Slim bars and Raw Rev Glo bars, no bad stuff in them. -

How many carbs in each bar?
Answer: The information is shown on the label pictures for the bars. Peanut chocolate delight has the statement to count the carbs as 1 net gram (g) carb, and says "based on clinically conducted continuous glucose monitoring only 1 of the 21 total carbs have a short term impact on blood sugar. Fiber 5g maltitol 6 gr glycerin 4 g and uncooked cornstarch 5 g convert slowly and have minimal impact on blood sugar." But the nutrition facts has 21 g total carbs, dietary fiber 5 g, sugars ZERO g, and maltitol 6 g. As a diabetic, I have found they do NOT increase my blood sugar significantly but I use 10 grams to count carbs (total 21 - 5 fiber - 6 maltitol = 10 net carbs). I use them to tide my over between 3 pm and dinner time, and have had not glucose spikes with them. They are gluten free and have 11 grams of protein. The label clearly states these are "for use under medical supervision" and gives the website and customer service number as 1-800-887-2919. If you are diabetic, I would suggest getting one at the drugstore, and let your doctor see the label. I showed the labels to my doctor and she is thrilled I found these. They taste better than some of the Atkins crappy bars. -

Can you make the bars using Stevia? There is so much info on the bad effects of other chemical sweetners..
Answer: Stevia is actually not necessarily healthier as we have no long term data on its effects. My dietician advises heavily against. Malitol however is very safe and well studied. -

How many calories in each bar
Answer: There are 150 calories per bar. -

Are these soft or hard for older grandmother
Answer: I found that the bars are on the soft and chewy. They were effective in helping me control my blood sugar as well. -
