It also has a 15-volt connector for long runs of wire and lights. The transformer comes with a timer that sits inside the transformer and is about 3x3x2 inches; the directions for the timer are complicated, and the timer has too many steps and features, making it difficult to use. The transformer is easy to install and has a plug-in Photo Cell to set the lights to run for 2,4,6 hrs, or dusk to dawn and is built like a tank. There have been complaints regarding the timer that it doesn't recognize dusk or DST, and the timer provided by a different supplier as part of the VOLT Transformer package does not work and has known problems. Additionally, after eight months, the photo-sensor timer has stopped working.
