I have plantar fasciitis and I exp no pain whatsoever. These sandals are soft and actually look better on than when advertised! You won't be disappointed! -

I’m size 8.5. Should I size up or down?
Answer: I have a short wide foot. The largest women's I can wear is a size 5 and alot of times 5 is still too big. I ordered a 5 and they fit great so they seem to run true to size. If you lean towards 8 or 9 I would order that size. I hope that helps. I love these Clarks Sandals so much I ordered two more pairs in different colors. -

Answer: Outside the pool. They would not be good for water/swim shoes. They are extremely comfortable and would be nice to wear around the pool.
