The Level Sense LS2600 Surface Liquid Sensor is a device that provides a trickle current between two contacts when water with some ionic content is present. The device behaves as an open circuit when no water is present, and behaves as a 1.4MΩ resistor when water is present. The resistance of it depends on the water quality. The device may work in chlorinated water, but saltwater will eventually corrode the probes. The leak sensor works with home electronics projects, and can be used as an input to an Arduino or raspberry Pi. The device is rated up to 150℉, and works with a voltage of 5Vdc-12Vdc max. The device doesn't work as a stand-alone product with Samsung smart things. Finally, it is a two-wire device.
