Answer: It isn't going to scare a car thief away if that's what your asking. It took my dumbest dog about 1min to discern that it's not anything worth obeying. So I would father a human figuring it out even faster. Can you hear it through the window eh maybe but probably be hard to hear what it's saying. The speaker is not high quality. I would compare it to someone having you on speaker phone but all you hear is background and static. Also this thing goes off even if there is a change in bought or a shadow so if your car isn't in a dark garage it might go off a lot and it's ran with batteries. -

Answer: I think it depends on your cats but it is loud and you can change up the sounds. -
